Joel Doerksen has been playing bass with TRRP since May 2010. Music has been a part of his life for awhile, both as a band trumpet player in junior high and as a choir member in high school. He began playing bass ten years ago when friends pressured him to learn it for a high school praise band. Music highlights for Joel include lots of praise and worship music, being a part of an Abundant Springs praise team, Saturate evenings at Southland Church and playing bass for Danny Plett on one occasion. When he’s not being musical, Joel is busy running a chicken, hog, and grain farm with his dad in the Twin Creek area near Blumenort. He and his wife, Christine, recently enjoyed the birth of their first child.
